Red Hat OpenShift services
Install, upgrade, extend and support Red Hat OpenShift on premises and in the cloud, with the virtualisation, GitOps, security and AI capabilities your organisation needs.
Enterprise Kubernetes, supported as one platform
Red Hat OpenShift is Kubernetes with the rest of the platform built in: a web console, image registry, monitoring, logging, GitOps, pipelines, service mesh, virtualisation and security, tested together and supported by Red Hat. Upgrades are automated, and the platform manages the operating system underneath it.
That is why many banks, telecom operators and government agencies choose it for their most important systems. CompTech is a Red Hat partner. We install OpenShift, connect it to the systems around it, keep it upgraded and support it, from a single cluster to multi-site platforms with disaster recovery.
When it fits
01
You need vendor support
Regulators, auditors or your own policies require a supported platform with a vendor to call.
02
Your platform team is small
You would rather run one integrated product than assemble and maintain dozens of open-source parts.
03
A software vendor requires it
Your core banking, telecom or enterprise software is certified to run on OpenShift.
04
You run VMs and containers
You want virtual machines and containers on one platform, managed by one team.
What we do
Design and installation
OpenShift on bare metal, VMware, OpenStack, AWS or Azure, including disconnected installs for closed networks.
Upgrades and lifecycle
Planned, tested upgrades between versions, with Extended Update Support releases where production needs a longer, steadier cycle.
OpenShift Virtualization
Run virtual machines beside containers on the same nodes, and migrate them from VMware.
GitOps and pipelines
OpenShift GitOps and Pipelines set up so teams deploy through Git, with approvals and an audit trail.
Security and compliance
Advanced Cluster Security, compliance scans and hardened configuration, with the evidence auditors ask for.
Multi-cluster management
Advanced Cluster Management to govern clusters and sites from one place, with policies and disaster recovery.
What OpenShift adds
The parts you would otherwise assemble yourself
Upstream Kubernetes leaves your team to choose, integrate and keep dozens of components compatible through every upgrade. OpenShift includes them, tests them together and supports them as one product.
- Kubernetes core
- The same open-source Kubernetes and the same APIs in both.
- Included and supported together
- Console, registry, monitoring, logging, GitOps, pipelines, service mesh, virtualisation and security.
- Chosen, integrated and maintained by your team
- The same functions on upstream Kubernetes, selected and kept compatible by you.
How we deliver OpenShift
01
Plan
Choose the deployment model, subscriptions and sizing, and design networking, storage, identity and security.
02
Install
Install the clusters by automation, add the operators you need, and connect your directory, storage, registry and monitoring.
03
Prove
Test failover, backup and restore, upgrades and security, and onboard a pilot application.
04
Operate
Upgrade on a planned schedule, watch health and capacity, and support your team, with Red Hat behind us.

Questions about OpenShift
How is OpenShift licensed?
OpenShift is an annual subscription, usually counted by the cores of the servers that run your applications. Control-plane nodes don't need subscriptions. We size subscriptions from your workloads, so you don't pay for capacity you won't use.
Which version should we run in production?
A supported one, and ideally an Extended Update Support release, which has a longer support window and an upgrade path from one such release to the next. We plan upgrades so you are never forced into a rushed one.
Can OpenShift run our virtual machines?
Yes. OpenShift Virtualization runs virtual machines beside containers with the same networking, storage and management, and the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization moves them from VMware.
Virtualisation and VMware migrationCan you support an OpenShift platform another partner built?
Yes. We start with a health check of the configuration, versions and backups, fix anything urgent, then take over support or work alongside your team.
