Comptech AML

On-prem anti-money-laundering for banks and financial institutions: multi-method detection, sanctions screening with Bangla name matching, case investigation and goAML STR filing, fed by Comptech Data Pipeline gold tables.

Comptech AML

Overview

From transaction signal to filed report, in your own data centre

Comptech AML is CompTech's anti-money-laundering product for banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh. It reads curated gold tables from Comptech Data Pipeline, runs multiple detection methods, fuses alerts into prioritised cases, and helps analysts investigate and file suspicious transaction reports.

It is designed to help banks meet AML obligations: goAML report ingest and XSD-validated STR-XML export, four-eyes disposition, a tamper-evident audit trail, and role-based access for analysts, supervisors and the MLRO. Everything runs on premises so customer and transaction data stays under your control.

Use cases

Built for the AML and FIU workflow

Transaction monitoring

Rules, anomaly scoring and graph patterns on governed banking tables and transaction streams.

Sanctions and PEP screening

Offline screening against official lists, with Bangla and transliteration-aware name matching.

Case investigation

One console for triage, Party 360°, network views, notes, evidence and four-eyes disposition.

Regulatory filing

Draft SAR narratives, validate and export goAML STR-XML, and keep a filing register with audit.

Features

Detect across multiple methods

Rules engine

High-value thresholds, structuring bands, structuring velocity, velocity bursts and dormant-account reactivation.

Sanctions screening

Offline match against official consolidated lists, including Bangladesh ATA-style entries, with DOB auto-clear.

Bangla name matching

Romanises Bangla script and folds common English spellings of the same name so listed parties are not missed.

Graph patterns

Fan-in (mule) patterns, circular flows and layering or pass-through paths across counterparties.

Anomaly and profile risk

Peer and baseline amount anomalies, plus KYC and PEP profile signals for enhanced due diligence.

Watchlist and ML scoring

Analyst watchlists on resolved identities, plus a calibrated supervised scorer that learns from dispositions.

Investigation

Case work with governance built in

Unified analyst console

Dashboard, triage queue, case detail, Party 360°, screening desk, filing register and strategic MI in one place.

Four-eyes maker-checker

High-risk dispositions are proposals; a different supervisor must approve or reject before filing.

Tamper-evident audit

Append-only, hash-chained case audit with attributed actions for every note, link, disposition and filing step.

Entity resolution

Probabilistic near-duplicate matching across aliases and spellings, with case linking by shared party.

AI investigation assist

Grounded case summary, STR narrative draft and Q&A over case facts, using private on-prem models through Comptech AI Gateway. The assistant never decides.

Typology and document library

Versioned typology knowledge and a governed document library with cited retrieval for investigation support.

Data and filing

Fed by your lakehouse, ready for goAML

Comptech Data Pipeline

Reads gold and silver banking tables for accounts, customers, velocity features and AML flags.

Data Pipeline

Streaming ingest

Consumes transaction and report events for near-real-time detection alongside batch lakehouse reads.

goAML STR export

XSD-validated STR-XML, pre-filing checks, draft SAR narrative and a hashed submission bundle with evidence and audit.

Filing lifecycle

Dispositioned to filed to disseminated, with LEA outcome recording, RFI handling and a filing-deadline board.

Roles for AML teams

Analyst, supervisor, MLRO and admin roles with server-side enforcement of who can approve, file and administer.

On premises

Designed for your data centre or private cloud, including air-gapped deployments where customer data must not leave.

Architecture

Lakehouse in, cases and filings out

Comptech Data Pipeline lands and curates banking data as gold tables. Comptech AML reads those tables and event streams, runs detection, fuses alerts into cases, and supports analysts through investigation to goAML STR filing. Private models for narrative assist are reached through Comptech AI Gateway.

Questions

Does Comptech AML replace our core banking system?

No. It reads curated tables from Comptech Data Pipeline and optional event streams. Core banking keeps running; AML uses a governed copy of the data for monitoring and investigation.

Does it support goAML reporting?

Yes. The product ingests goAML reports and exports XSD-validated STR-XML with pre-filing validation, a draft SAR narrative and a hashed submission bundle. It is designed to help banks meet local AML filing obligations.

Where does the detection data come from?

Primary features and flags come from Comptech Data Pipeline gold and silver tables. Additional signals come from sanctions lists, analyst watchlists and the supervised scorer trained on confirmed and dismissed cases.

How long does a pilot take?

A typical pilot runs 4 to 6 weeks on your hardware or private cloud, with one agreed use case and success criteria set at the start.

What support do you offer?

Local support from Comptech engineers in Bangladesh, with Bronze, Silver and Gold SLA levels. We also train your team to run the platform day to day.

Are we locked in?

No. The platforms use open formats and standard APIs, so your workloads and data stay portable.
